Who we are
HI-QAI (Headwaters Institute for Quantum & AI) is a middle through high school and early-college innovation school taking its first roots in Montana, planted in the state’s communities and connected through quantum technology and AI to a growing regional innovation network. We represent developing quantum regions and demonstrate how states can contribute to a nationally collaborative quantum workforce. Our model integrates project- and place-based learning, industry-aligned apprenticeships, and partnerships with regional organizations to connect young learners directly to national quantum labs, defense initiatives, and high-demand tech careers.
